Public Statement Hearing
On April 8, 2021, the Siting Board Chair determined that Excelsior’s Application, as supplemented, complies with the Siting Board’s filing requirements. On April 13, 2021 the Siting Board issued a notice scheduling virtual public statement hearings. Click here for a copy thereof for instructions on how to participate.
Notice of Procedural Conference
On May 24, 2021 the New York State Board on Electric Generation Siting and the Environment issued notice of the procedural conference to review aspects of the affected case. The Notice of Procedural Conference can be found here.

Monday, August 31 | 12 p.m.-1 p.m. and 6 p.m.-7 p.m.
The community is cordially invited to attend a virtual open house for the Excelsior Energy Project, a 280-megawatt solar energy generating facility with 20 megawatts of energy storage proposed in the town of Byron. Information about the project will be presented online and via phone. During the meeting, the Excelsior team and its subject matter experts will provide a project update and answer questions.
Both sessions will include an update on the project, cover the same information, and follow the same format.

The community was cordially invited to attend an informational open house for the Excelsior Energy Project, a 280-megawatt solar energy generating facility with 20 megawatts of energy storage proposed in the town of Byron. At the open house, information about the project were displayed on large poster boards. Rather than a structured, formal presentation, the open house provides many opportunities for any member of the public to speak directly with project representatives and subject-matter experts about questions they may have. The public was invited to arrive anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. or 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
